Onboarding Guide

1. Assigning Your Radio ID

Your Radio ID is a unique 4-digit number used in the radio system, CAD, and administrative records.

Assignment Rule – Ascending Order

Radio IDs are issued sequentially, starting at 0001 and increasing as new personnel join until 0999.

  • No skipping numbers unless reserved by administration.

  • No custom requests — the next available number is assigned automatically.

  • Numbers will not be reassigned when someone leaves; the number remains reserved in case the individual returns.

    • If Radio IDs for dispatch reach 0999, this system will be revised or a new ID set will be deployed.

Receiving Your Radio ID

  1. After being accepted as a dispatcher, management (Dispatch Supervisor or higher) will assign the next available Radio ID in ascending order.

  2. You will be given a codeplug for WhackerLink.

  3. Your Radio ID will be recorded in:

    • WhackerLink
    • Sonoran CAD
    • Department roster (updated by management)

WhackerLink syncs your radio status, unit activity, and in-game actions.

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download the current listed version of WhackerLinkConsole.

  2. Go to File → Open Codeplug.

    • Select the codeplug provided to you.
  3. Configure your audio settings by clicking the button with a speaker icon next to a person’s head.

  4. Test the radio (if someone is online) by:

    • Enabling a channel (click inside the gray area in the channel box).

    • Clicking the lightning icon to transmit.

      • Note: This is a toggle button when clicked, not a push-to-talk (PTT).
  5. You may further customize the console, including:

    • Adding audio files
    • Creating PTT hotkeys
    • Other personalized configuration options

3. Configure Sonoran CAD

Sonoran CAD is your platform for dispatching, records, and reporting.

Follow the instructions on this page: https://centuriesgaming.com/docs/resources/how-to-setup-cad/
